Troubleshooting Instagram connection issues

If you are having trouble connecting your Instagram account to The Cirqle, please complete the following steps to resolve the problem.

Once you have completed the Troubleshooting, you can attempt to connect your Instagram account to The Cirqle.


Verify your Instagram account is a business account

In order to connect to the Cirqle, your Instagram account must be a business account connected to a Facebook Page.

  • Open the Instagram mobile app

  • Go to 'Settings'

  • Go to 'Account' - if you don't have a business account, you'll see the option to 'Switch to a professional account'.

If you have a personal Instagram account that is connected to your Facebook account, it will need to be reconnected to your Facebook page after it has been converted to a business profile.


Verify your Instagram account is connected to a Facebook page

In order to connect to the Cirqle, your Instagram account must be connected to a Facebook Page.

  • Open the Instagram mobile app

  • Go to 'Edit Profile'

  • In the 'Public Business Information section, click 'Page'

  • Next verify that the Instagram page is connected to the correct Facebook page. If not, you’ll need to connect an existing Facebook Page or create a new one.

You may see the 'Review Account Connection' message here. If so, select the 'Review Connection' button and follow the prompts.


Verify you are an Admin on the Facebook Page

In order to connect to the Cirqle, you must be an Admin of the Facebook Page that is connected to your Instagram Account.

  • Open the Facebook mobile app

  • Go to your Facebook Page

  • Go to 'Settings'

  • Go to 'Page Roles'

  • Check that your role is listed as 'Admin'

You must be an Admin of a Facebook Business Page for at least one week before you are able to connect an Instagram Business Page to the Facebook Page.


Verify the Instagram account connection on Facebook

  • Open the Facebook mobile app

  • Go to your Facebook Page

  • Go to 'Settings'

  • Go to 'Instagram'

If you see the 'Review Account Connection' message, select 'Review Connection' and then follow the on-screen prompts.


Remove previous connections to The Cirqle

In this step we will remove any previous connections that you have made to the Cirqle.

  • Open the Facebook mobile app

  • Go to your Facebook account

  • Go to Settings & Privacy. Then click Settings, Then click Business Integrations.

  • Locate the entries for The Cirqle (and Scuare if shown) and click “Edit’. Scroll down to the bottom and click

  • “Remove”. After you will be prompted to confirm this. Please confirm.

IMPORTANT: After you have removed The Cirqle app from your Facebook account, you will also need to login to your Cirqle dashboard and remove the connection using the steps below:
