How to choose your rate for a campaign

Choosing your rate

A
Written by Amelie

There's no set rate. On campaigns where you name your price, you enter one "Total rate" for the whole collaboration when you apply, not a rate per post. The brand can accept it, decline it, or send you a counteroffer. On gifted campaigns there's no rate to set: you receive the product instead.

Check what's included first

Your application shows what your rate covers:

  • the number of "Social Posts" and their formats

  • the "Usage Rights": how the brand can use your content in paid ads and on its own channels, and for how long. Broader or longer rights are worth more.

What brands weigh

  • Engagement on your channels: likes, comments, saves, views

  • Audience size and quality, not just follower count

  • Platform and format, such as posts, stories or videos

  • Past campaign performance, if you've worked with brands before

  • Production effort, such as editing or several deliverables

A highly engaged audience often matters more to brands than a large but passive one.

Good to know

  • Your rate includes all local taxes.

  • Your total rate includes The Cirqle's fee. When you sign, your contract shows our fee and the amount you'll receive, which is lower than your total rate. The amount in your Statement of Work is what you'll be paid.

  • If a brand sends a counteroffer, the campaign moves to "Negotiating Rate" on your Campaigns page. Offers expire, so reply in time.

  • We can't share a brand's budget.

  • New to The Cirqle? Start realistic and adjust as you build campaign history.
